After an impressive match-winning performance in the third ODI of the ongoing five-match series, Indian opener Rohit Sharma posted a picture with MS Dhoni on his Twitter account and gave a new ‘nickname’ to MS Dhoni.

Both, Rohit and Dhoni, batted brilliantly in the third ODI and formed a match-winning partnership for India. Sri Lanka were able to get a couple of early wickets with the new ball and the it was once again Akila Dananajaya who troubled the Indian batters with his mystery spin and took 2 big wickets.

But, Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni steadied the ship and didn’t allow Sri Lankan bowlers to take more wickets. They kept rotating the strike and never allowed the required run rate to go beyond their control.

Rohit Sharma was under a lot of pressure to play a big innings as his record in Sri Lanka before the third ODI was very ordinary and a player of his class and stature would always come under scrutiny with those kind of numbers. But, the Hitman of Indian cricket answered all his critics with his elegant bat.

He was supported brilliantly by MS Dhoni, who played in his trademark fan and absorbed all the pressure from the other end.

After the end of the match, Rohit Sharma took to Twitter and write a beautiful message for his former captain good friend MS Dhoni.

Rohit Sharma took to Twitter and shared a picture with Dhoni captioning it as, “Special night with the special man. Great way to win the series. #WeMarchOn #IceMan & Hitman.”
