Patanjali Is Bidding For IPL 2020’s Title sponsorship And Twitterti Can’t Keep Calm

IPL 2020’s title sponsorship has become one of the hot topics for debate in the country right now. A huge controversy happened after BCCI decided to retain Chinese smartphone manufacturing giant Vivo as its title sponsor for IPL 2020. Because of the political tensions going on between India and China, Vivo and BCCI received backlash from the fans on social media.
Ultimately, both the parties agreed to suspend their deal for one year as Vivo opted out of sponsorship for IPL 2020. BCCI is now looking for a sponsor urgently as IPL will start in September. As per reports, several Indian cricketers like Unacademy, Tata Motors, and Jio had shown interest in signing up as the sponsor, but now a new candidate has joined the race and it is none other than Baba Ramdev’s brand Patanjali.
The Ayurvedic company has achieved much success in the recent past, owing to its top quality products in the market. Patanjali has become one of the top local brands in India and since the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked everyone to be vocal for local, Patanjali could well secure IPL 2020 sponsorship and expand its market by leaps and bounds.
Since Patanjali is a brand that almost every Indian has used once in his life, everyone can correlate themselves to this announcement. This statement from Patanjali officials has received a mixed response on Twitter and here are the best Twitter reactions to the declaration of Patanjali being in the race to gain title sponsorship rights of IPL 2020.

IPL 2020 will mark its beginning from September 19th in the UAE. This will be the most unique season in IPL history because there will be no fans and even if the UAE government allows, only 30-50% stadiums could be filled. Nevertheless, since everyone is at home, this will be the most-viewed IPL season ever and no brand would want to miss out on the sponsorship rights.
