Chennai Super Kings, now also known as the Daddy’s Army, is a team that has counted upon experience in the past two seasons. Even for IPL 2020, the Yellow Army didn’t tinker a lot with their recruits for the upcoming season. Under the leadership of MS Dhoni, CSK’s IPL 2020 squad shows much resemblance with their squad from last year.
The team released a mere five players before the auction and roped in players to mainly strengthen their bowling department. The inclusion of the likes of Sam Curran, Josh Hazlewood, and their most expensive buy – Piyush Chawla, was an indication of the concern showed by the franchise to address their bowling issues.
CSK, with all the experience of their players, can never be undermined before the start of the season, The team might be short on flair but possess enough campaigners who are much aware of the dynamics of T20 cricket.

CSK will have the luxury of Jadhav, Dwayne Bravo, and Ravindra Jadeja as their best three all-rounders in the playing XI. Though Kedar and Jadeja haven’t produced enough numbers in the shortest format, the franchise has invested faith in their abilities to deliver with their all-round show.
Bowlers: Piyush Chawla, Deepak Chahar, Lungi Ngidi:
The bowling department will feature a new recruit for CSK this season in Piyush Chawla. Chawla, who has bought for an auction price of ₹6.75 crores, will be a definite pick in the side. He will be aided by Deepak Chahar and Lungi Ngidi as the other two bowlers in the side.
