Chennai’s real strength in batting lies in their middle-order. The experience of Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni of playing IPL in the last 12 years will come to help the team’s cause in pressure situations. CSK will have the luxury of Jadhav, Dwayne Bravo, and Ravindra Jadeja as their best three all-rounders in the playing XI. Though Kedar and Jadeja haven’t produced enough numbers in the shortest format, the franchise has invested faith in their abilities to deliver with their all-round show.
Bowlers: Piyush Chawla, Deepak Chahar, Lungi Ngidi:
The bowling department will feature a new recruit for CSK this season in Piyush Chawla. Chawla, who has bought for an auction price of ₹6.75 crores, will be a definite pick in the side. He will be aided by Deepak Chahar and Lungi Ngidi as the other two bowlers in the side.
