There are still a few months back to IPL 2019 to begun but the excitement is already touching peaks among the fans. The most anticipated and waited Auctions for IPL 2019 went on floors yesterday and it resulted in many surprising events.

New Zealand cricketer, Martin Guptill is known for his brilliance in the T20 Internationals, however, is known for opposite in the Indian Premiere League. Martin is one of the most celebrated cricketers when it comes to T20 Internationals but he hasn’t been able to live upto the expectations in the cash-rich league.

Previously he has been a part of IPL for two seasons but without much success with the bat. In 2016, Martin was representing Mumbai Indians, he played three games for the team and scored only 57 runs. Then he went on to represent Kings XI Punjab in the year 2017, and he made his fans disappointed again as he managed to score only 132 runs in seven games.

His consistent poor performances eventually costed him a season of 2018. He had set his base price to Rs 75 lakh but failed to land any deal because of his poor performances but this year, he is all set to make his comeback in the league. He has been roped in by Sunrisers Hyderabad at his base price of Rs.1 crore.

Soon after the deal was done, Martin Guptill took to twitter and expressed his excitement and delight over his return to the league with a tweet.
