Last night, it was the last and the most interesting match of the leagues. Chennai Super Kings won the match beating Kings XI Punjab by 5 wickets. Kings XI Punjab are now officially out off the league.

In the first innings, KXIP had a very bad start to the game.as the openers of the team, KL Rahul and Chris Gayle went back to pavilion after a few balls. KL Rahul, the star player of the team failed to contribute to the runs last night, he scored 7 off the 11 balls he played. He was bowled by the CSK star bowler, Lungi Ngidi. Manoj Tiwary was the highest scorer of the team today, as he scored 35 runs off the 30 balls. David Miller scored 24 off the 22 balls he played. The skipper of the team, R.Ashwin failed to score and went back to pavilion on runs.
MS Dhoni and his team were on fire. MS Dhoni took three catches and sent back three big players of the team. The ace bowler of the team, Lungi Ngidi took 4 four wickets and once again stunned everyone with his impeccable bowling style.

In the second innings, Chennai Super Kings chased the target of 153 runs very wonderfully.

Suresh Raina, the star player of the team, took the match away like a storm. He remained unbeaten till the end ball and gave a thrilling performance. He scored 61 runs in 48 balls he played. Ambatti Rayudu scored went back to pavilion after scoring a single run. Deepak Chahar also gave a brilliant performance tonight and scored 39 off the 20 balls he played.

MS Dhoni finished off the match in his trademark style with a stunning six making way for the team into the playoffs. He scored 16 off the 7 balls he played.
