Delhi Daredevils’ young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, who is one of the most exciting young cricketers in the world, played one of the most memorable innings in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Courtesy of his brilliant innings, Pant became the second youngest player to score an IPL hundred and youngest to score 1000 runs in IPL history.
On Thursday night, Rishabh Pant demolished Sunrisers Hyderabad’s bowling attack and scored an unbeaten hundred. SRH’s bowling attack is, arguably, the best in IPL 2018 and young Pant did not show any respect whatsoever.
The young wicketkeeper-batsman smashed Rashid Khan for 27 off the 13 balls he faced from the leg-spinner and 43 off 11 balls off Bhuvneshwar Kumar at a strike rate of 390.90. He took on two of the best bowlers in the tournament and smashed them all around the park.
He took on the likes of Rashid Khan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar and scored 128 unbeaten runs off just 63 balls. In his memorable innings, he smashed 15 fours and 7 gigantic sixes. It was an innings that will never be forgotten by fans, specially Delhi Daredevils fans.
Rishabh Pant was the lone warrior for Delhi and he proved to the world that he can play these kinds of innings consistently. In IPL 2018, he has been one of the best batters and proudly holds ‘Orange Cap’ at the moment.
Following Pant’s innings, cricketers and fans took to Twitter and praised the youngster for his special knock. KL Rahul, who has himself been in outstanding from in IPL 2018, posted a beautiful message for Rishabh Pant on Twitter, congratulating for his outstanding effort.
