KL Rahul has been in outstanding form in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2018). He was bought by Kings XI Punjab for a massive price tag of INR 11 crore and it would be just fair to say that he has done full justice to the trust KXIP management showed in him in the auction hall.
In the match against Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday, KL Rahul played a brilliant knock and carried his bat yet again. Unfortunately, KXIP lost the match by 16 runs but it was a lone effort by KL Rahul, who scored 95 runs off 70 balls and keep his team in the hunt throughout the match.
It was a difficult pitch to bat in Rajasthan and KL Rahul showed his class by staying in the middle and score more than 60 percent of his team’s runs. He assessed the pitch brilliantly and didn’t take too many chances in the beginning, even when he kept losing partners at the other end. He is also the new ‘Orange’ cap holder of IPL 2018.
