Tonight, Kolkata Knight Riders won the home game by beating Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets at the very famous Eden Gardens of Kolkata.
Before KKR won the match, they won the toss and choose to bowl first. CSK players performed brilliantly and scored 177 runs.
The men in yellow jersey started the first innings of the match with a bang-on performance. The openers, Faf du Plessis scored 27 runs off 15 balls before he was bowled out by Piyush Chawla, while on the other hand, Shane Watson scored 36 off 25 balls, hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes.
Suresh Raina began his knock with a stunning four and scored 31 runs in 26 balls. While Ambatti Rayudu, the sensational hitter of the team scored 21 runs in 17 balls.
The skipper of the team, MS Dhoni, he remained unbeaten at the score of 43 runs which he scored in 25 balls, hitting many stunning shots during his knock. From smashing ‘maximums’ to his ‘helicopter shots’, he smashed 4 sixes and 1 four.
In the second innings of the match, Kolkata Knight Riders chased the scores brilliantly by giving devastating performance.
The skipper of the team, Dinesh Karthik remained unbeaten at 45 runs which he scored in only 18 balls. With the thrilling strike rate of 280, he smashed 7 fours and 1 six. Apart from him, the young player Shubman Gill scored 57 runs in 36 balls. He impressed everyone with his thrilling shots, he smashed 6 fours and 2 sixes.
They played a wonderful innings and chased the runs by saving 6 wickets into their account.
