Chennai Super Kings once again gave thrilling performance and won the match beating Delhi Daredevils by runs. The match was hosted by Chennai Super Kings at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
Before the match started, Chennai Super Kings were asked to bat first as the toss was won by Shreyas Iyer, the skipper of Delhi Daredevils who chose to bowl first.
Chennai Super Kings played a destructive innings by blasting the bowlers of Delhi Daredevils all over the ground. The innings started with a great partnership by Shane Watson and Faf Du Plessis,
Shane Watson played a brilliant knock by scoring 78 runs in 40 balls with the strike rate of 195, he smashed 4 fours and 6 sixes.
Ambatti Rayudu, the star player of Chennai Super Kings who have been giving really exceptional performance since the start of this league. He scored 41 runs in 24 balls smashing 5 fours and 1 six.
However, MS Dhoni stole all the limelight with another destructive performances. He smashed the ball to every corner of the stadium and towards the audience many times during his innings. He remained unbeaten at the score of 51 runs in 22 balls, he smashed 2 fours and 5 sixes.
In the second innings, the bowlers and fielders of Chennai Super Kings played amazingly well and defended the target runs brilliantly, saving 13 runs at the end.
Rishabh Pant played great innings and scored of 79 runs in 45 balls, smashing 7 fours and 4 sixes with the strike rate of 175. On the other hand, Vijay Shankar remained unbeaten at the score of 54 runs in 31 balls.
The team played really well but it fell short of 13 runs and ended up losing another match to Chennai Super Kings.
