After winning the toss, Sunrisers Hyderabad chose to bat first. The Sunrisers Hyderabad scored their lowest total of this season by giving 118 runs as a target to Mumbai Indians.
However, Mumbai Indians played the first innings very well and were successful in not letting Sunrisers Hyderabad score a big number.

Apart from him, Krunal Pandya scored 24 runs in 20 balls before he was sent back to pavilion after an lbw by Rashid Khan. It was a real victory for Sunrisers Hyderabad as they came back from worst position and ended up as winners.
Here’s what Rashid Khan, the man of the match said:
“Thanks to almighty. It feels quite good and comeback after a loss. We get to learn a lot of things from the coaching staff. They keep motivating me. They ask me to stay relaxed and that’s what brings the best out of me.
Whatever you do, you have to stay relaxed and stick to your basics. We win or lose, the management has always kept us in good positive space.”
The captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kane Williamson said:
“Clearly a tough surface. We were expecting a lot more from our batsmen. It is good fun. T20 obviously so much is happening so quickly. A fantastic second half for us, but we are still to put a complete team performance.
There is depth in our squad which is important and at the same time the best part is how well the guys performed in the second half of the game.”
The captain of Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma said:
“We have got ourselves to blame. We should chase down 118 on any wicket, we didn’t show character, the Sunrisers did. Very happy with the way we bowled, they did a brilliant job, but the batsmen let us down once again. There are so many points that I can talk about, but don’t want to pinpoint faults now.
We needed to show some intent, which we failed today. We knew it was a tough chase, shot making wasn’t easy, we wanted to have intent at the start. They bowled at the right areas, kept us guessing and we couldn’t recover. Few of us played some bad shots, including myself.”
