Ravichandran Ashwin is not in the playing XI of Indian cricket team but this year he is playing as the skipper of Kings XI Punjab.
R.Ashwin is doing really good as the captain of the team. Till now, the team has won 2 out of 3 matches. Both the matches the team has won till now were very interesting and exciting.
Before the match, CSK won the toss and choose to bowl first but however this time, the team failed to chase the target of 197 runs given by KXIP.
The team did great in the first innings, Chris Gayle took the match like a storm and scored 63 runs in 33 balls.
Ashwin’s team came well prepared on the grounds in the second innings as well. Not just bowling, but the team was in full form while fielding as well. The team made sure to make it tough for the players of Chennai Super Kings last night.
The team was at 113 runs, when Ambati Rayudu’s wicket was taken by R.Ashwin. Ambati Rayudu scored 49 runs in 35 balls with the strike rate of 140. He was taking the next shot with light hand to score a single, he was just a run away from his half-century. However, he was half-way when Dhoni asked him to go back. By the time he reached, Ashwin had already taken his wickets.
