Chennai Super Kings celebrated their return to their home ground in grand style by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders in a nail biting finish.
It was a high scoring game as KKR posted over 200 runs on the board on the back of a blistering innings by Andre Russel who smashed 11 sixes in his knock of 88 runs.
But, CSK batsmen just kept coming and didn’t let the match go away from their grip. It was very tensed in the middle but CSK fans in the stadium and around the world were hopeful that their batsmen will pull it off in the end.
Young English batsmen Sam Billings entertained the huge crowd at Chepauk with his outstanding hitting.
Billings came in to bat when Chennai Super Kings were in a spot of bother and the required run rate was well above 10 runs an over.
After Billings, it was DJ Bravo who kept CSK in the game. Twitterati were in good form throughout the game and celebrated CSK’s homecoming in their style.
