Indian Premier League is India’s favourite domestic cricket league by all means. With the IPL 2018 around the corner the gala cricket league of India is making buzz. Teams have already announced their retained players and the auctions too will happen soon.

All fans are keenly waiting in excitement to see which all players are bought by their franchises. IPL is a ruthless format for the bowlers but some bowlers have owned the IPL and these are the leading wicket takers in the Indian Premier League.

On top of the list is Sri Lanka’s express pacer, Malinga with 154 wickets to his name. Malinga is followed by Amit Mishra who has 134 wickets to his name. Malinga has played for the Mumbai Indians constantly between 2009 and 2017 but the Mumbai Indians have not restrained him surprisingly.

Harbhajan Singh also features on the list and so does Piyush Chawla. Bhajji is third on the list while Piyush Chawla is fourth. This is the first time Harbhajan Singh will go into auctions as he has been with the defending champions, Mumbai Indians since 2008. Last on the list of 10 leading wicket takers is Ravichandran Ashwin with 100 wickets.

1. Malinga : 154 wickets
2. Amit Mishra: 134 wickets
3. Harbhajan Singh: 127 wickets
4. Piyush Chawla: 126 wickets
5. Dwayne Bravo: 122 wickets
6. Bhuvneshwar Kumar: 111 wickets
7. Ashish Nehra: 106 wickets
8. Vinay Kumar: 103 wickets
9. Zaheer Khan: 102 wickets
10. Ravi Chandran Ashwin: 100 wickets
