IPL 2017: Virat Kohli is arguably the biggest celebrity in India. In the last 3 years, he has established himself as a giant of world cricket. Many cricket pundits and fans believe that he is the best batsman in world cricket across all three formats of the game.

However, in the ongoing tenth season of Indian Premier League (IPL), Virat Kohli’s team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) was arguably the worst team. RCB’s star-studded batting line-up that includes the likes of AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle, Shane Watson and other young Indian batters, failed to score runs throughout the total. RCB also registered the lowest ever total in IPL history, in a group match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens.

In RCB’s last match of IPL 2017 against Delhi Daredevils at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi, RCB registered a rare win and Virat Kohli batted well and scored a fifty. Later, in the post match presentation, the RCB skipper was given the ‘FBB Stylish Player of the Match’ for his extremely good looking strokes. Kohli changed his position in the batting order for the last match and batted at number 3. Chris Gayle, who struggled to put bat to the ball throughout the tournament, also batted well and scored 48 runs. It was a much-needed for RCB fans who despite of poor performances, kept supporting their team and almost every match at RCB’s home ground i.e. Chinnaswamy stadium was full house.

After the post-match presentation, Kohli was seen running towards fans and in a lovely gesture, he gave away his stylish player of the match trophy to one of the fans in the stadium. Kohli has always maintained a very personal relationship with his fans and this is one of the reasons why cricket fans in India love him so much. Watch it here:
