Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma returned back to the field after missing out on a few back-to-back games because of the hamstring injury he faced during the MI vs KXIP game. Sharma’s name was included in the playing XI for MI’s final game in the lague stage against SRH on Tuesday and as a result, was seen at the toss.
Rohit Sharma’s fitness has become one of the major concern as his name was excluded from the Indian squad for the upcoming tour to Australia. However, his comeback in MI colors has put the fitness question to rest and the onus has now shifted to the selectors.
During the toss, when Rohit was asked if everything is ‘fit and fine’, he was quick to say ‘Looks like that’.
Meanwhile, the fans were thrilled after watching Rohit Sharma making a comeback on the field. From cricketers, cricket experts to fans, everyone took to their Twitter and came up with amazing reactions on Rohit Sharma’s comeback onfield and hoped that now he is fit and ready to play.
However, there were many who launched attack on the BCCI and Virat Kohli for not picking Rohit in the Indian squad for the upcoming tour to Australia, despite him being fit to play. From calling it a conspiracy to politics, considering that the match against SRH will serve as a fitness test for the opening batsman, twitterati are leaving no stone unturned to vent out their frustration on the same.
Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:
So now that Rohit Sharma is playing in the XI, can this be construed as a fitness test passed for the Australia tour? @BCCI @SGanguly99 #MIvsSRH #RohitSharma

Rohit Sharma played this match to show BCCI he is fit. But got out early to take care of his injury. Smart move. #IPL

What’s happening, why Hitman isn’t there in Indian squad if he’s well settled to play? Even he’s not ruled out of IPL, without him it’s going to be too much difficult for our team, his record against Aussies speaks for him.
What’s the truth? ?— ɳαɱαɳ – India ?? CSK ? (@Mr_unknown23_) October 26, 2020

Talking about his performance, Rohit Sharma failed to give the best of his abilities as he was dismissed by Sandeep Singh after scoring 4 runs off 7 balls.
