IPL Auction 2017: Two left-arm fast bowlers sold for Rs 17 crore

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) opened their account in IPL auction 2017 by buying New Zealand’s fast bowler Trent Boult for Rs 5 crore. Boult has been in spectacular form for the Blackcaps in the last 12 months or so and he is one of the best fast bowlers in world cricket. KKR have a good batting line up and Boult’s addition to their squad will add firepower to their bowling department. Boult is a very versatile fast bowler who can bowl at any stage of the innings. He can swing the new ball and then come at the later stages of the innings to reverse swing it.

England’s fast bowler Tymal Mills was sold for a whooping Rs 12 crore in the IPL auction. by Royal Challengers Bangalore. Mills impressed one and all with his extraordinary skills and variations in T20 cricket. Mills did go for some runs but the way he bowled in death overs was very impressive. Mills biggest strength is to vary his pace from 90 miles per hour to 70 miles per hour with very little change in his action. He is also very good at bowling slower deliveries from the back of his hand.
