When it comes to the IPL or thetT20 format of the game in general, fast pace and a high adrenaline rush is synonymous to it. Batsmen hammering almost every next delivery into the stands or two the boundary is the ideal scenario which is highly anticipated as well as relished by the fans and whoever watches the game. This edition of the Indian Premier League has been no exception and has witnessed the bowlers being charged upon by some flamboyant strokes by the batsmen who have cruised to half-centuries in within very few deliveries. Here are the five fastest fifties of the IPL 2016 so far:

1) Keiron Pollard (17 balls)

In the match against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede, the man from the Caribbean powered to his 50 in just 17 deliveries, the fastest so far this season. He took his team to victory in style essaying six maximums and two boundaries, producing some mind boggling stuff for the Mumbai Indians’ fans and finding his peak form just at the right time.

2) Chris Morris ( 17 balls)

In a match that turned out to be one of the most enthralling finishes of the season, Morris who plays for the Dehi Darevils won innumerable hearts with his heroics despite the fact that the Gujarat Lions denied the lads from Delhi a victory by merely one run. Morris smashed 8 sixes and 4 boundaries to score 82 runs in his valiant effort to try and take his team to a win.

3) David Warner (21 balls)

Chasing down as many as 228 runs for victory against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, the skipper of the Sunrisers gave his team exactly the required start going absolutely berserk and giving the opposition bowlers a hard time. However he did quite get the required support from other batsmen and this effort died down in a loss for the SRH.

4) Quinton de Kock (22 balls)

If one talks of a player single handedly taking the game away from the opposition, the knock from Quninton de Kock for the Daredevils was one of that kind. Reaching 50 in just 22 deliveries, he went on to score 108 hitting as many as 15 fours and 3 sicks. He took the RCB bowlers to the cleaners and ensured his team a thumping win at the Chinnaswamy.

5) David Warner (23 balls)
