By the virtue of this win, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have qualified for the play-off of IPL 2015 and they will be making an appearance in the knockout stages of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after three years. The Sun Risers Hyderabad posted a daunting total of 136 runs, after David Warner and Moises Henriques batted brilliantly and scored big shots all around the ground. There were once again heavy showers after the first innings and the RCB were given a target of 81 runs in 6 over by D/L method.

At the halfway mark many believed that Warner and Henriques have won the match for SRH, but Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli batted very aggressively right from the first ball and took RCB to the play-off of IPL 2015 after three long years. Gayle started the RCB innings in the most aggressive manner and scored 17 runs off the first over, which was bowled by Dale Steyn. It was all looking very easy for the RCB but Moises Henriques came in to ball and dismissed Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers in his first over. After this, here was a little phase in the game when it appeared that RCB will fall short of the target but captain Kohli kept his cool and played some of the most delightful shots.
