The Rajasthan Royals play the Mumbai Indians in Ahmedabad today. The Royals will be looking to carry forward their fine form after already having won their first two matches. On the other hand the Mumbai Indians have lost their opening two games and they will be itching to get a few points next to their name in the table. Today we look at 5 things to look forward to in this encounter.

1. Holding “Fort”: The Rajasthan Royals play their first home game of the tournament. Traditionally their home games are held in Jaipur at the Motera Stadium but they play their first home game in the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad this year. They are known to hold ‘fort’ and not lose at home. With the Mumbai Indians coming from two consecutive losses they will be eager to register their first win of the tournament.

2. Return of the Aussies: The match will showcase a handful of Australians. The likes of Shane Watson,Steve Smith,James Faulkner and Aaron Finch will be on show. Except for Faulkner the rest have not shown their form as yet. The World Champions will be eager to prove a point and make their presence felt in the tournament.

3.Battle of the “Backroom Legends”: Both the teams boast of a very strong thinktank in their backrooms. The Mumbai Indians have Ricky Ponting,Shane Bond and Sachin Tendulkar while the Royals have Rahul Dravid in their midst. Both the backroom teams will be making strategies to get the better of each other and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

4. Deepak Hooda: The IPL has showcased a lot of fine, emerging Indian talent and one of them being Deepak Hooda. He has already established a reputation of being a big hitter of the cricket ball and he will be the man to watch out for in this match.

Very critical match considering the teams are at opposite ends of the table.
