Shoaib Akhtar, the former Pakistan bowler is currently making a lot of news for his recent comments on match-fixing. Over the recent years, there’s no denying the fact that Pakistan cricket has suffered a lot because of match-fixing scandals.

And there’s no second to the fact that the biggest scandal took place when Pakistan toured England in 2010, where three of the top names of Pakistan cricket were caught in match-fixing. The names included Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Amir and the-then captain Salman Butt.

Shoaib Akhtar has now opened up about the match-fixing culture in the Pakistan cricket team. He has also revealed some secrets involving match-fixing. Recently, in an interview, he claimed that he felt like almost everyone in his team as well as the opposition were match-fixers. He said:

“I was always of the belief that I can never cheat Pakistan, no match-fixing but I was surrounded by match-fixers. I was playing against 21 people (sic) — 11 theirs and 10 ours. Who knows who was the match-fixer,”

He added:

“There was so much match-fixing. Asif told me which all matches they had fixed and how they did it”

Apart from this, he also revealed how he was offered a million-dollars and two S-Class Mercedes and an apartment for fixing the match but he refused. He said:

“I was offered a million Dollars, 2 S-Class Mercedes and an apartment in Fulham to fix a match – I closed the door and gave the guy who made the offer a beating,”

Well, his statements didn’t go down well with the Pakistani and Indian fans, who are now trolling him left and right for his statements. Here, have a look at the reactions of twitterati on this:

How much attention does this guy want?

— – (@NoiBoixos) November 2, 2019

There are literally millions of fans in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh who get swayed in front of this attention-seeker because he was once an international player.

A tribute to those who actually sit and down and listen to his gibberish talk on social media.

At this point, i have serious trouble differentiating truth n verbal diarrhea from Shoaib.

He’s funny n lively tho. But all his comments are to be taken on surface level n not confused w the truth. ?

Hahahaha this guy is a big attention seeker… He is losing all the respect he has gained over the years with his cricket !!
