Over the years, there have been many greats produced by South Africa including the likes of Allan Donald, Kepler Wessels, Gary Kirsten, Hashim Amla, Lance Kluster and many others. However, one name that shines brighter than anyone is of the evergreen Jacques Kallis.
Making his debut in the year 1993/94, Jacques Kallis, if not the best of them all, he is one of the greatest all-rounders to have played the game of cricket.

On Wednesday, Jacques Kallis celebrated his 44th birthday and the fans flooded the social media messages and tweets wishing him on his birthday. From cricketers to fans around the world took to their twitter and paid tributes to the evergreen cricketer.
Among many, Kevin Pietersen, the former England cricketer, wished him and even went on to call him the ‘greatest’ cricketer of all time. Not just this, he also made a goof-up in his tweet by calling Kallis a 53-year-old. He wrote:
“The greatest cricketer of them all turns 53 today. Happy birthday, @jacqueskallis75”
