Despite ending up in a tie, the New Zealand cricket team ended up as the runners up of World Cup 2019 on July 14th at Lords. The England cricket team won their maiden world cup on the basis of the number of boundaries hit by them.

The tie eventually led to the first-ever super-over in a world cup. 15 runs were needed from the super over, but, the Super Over also ended up in a tie and thus England win on more boundaries.

After the match, in the post-match interview, Kane Williamson, skipper of the New Zealand cricket team, revealed that the players of his team are left shattered after the loss but he also admitted to the fact that it wasn’t only about one run at the end.

New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham was left shattered after their narrow-defeat. After the match, Jimmy took to his twitter and in a series of tweets, he expressed his emotions after the heartbreaking defeat in the World Cup. He thanked his fans for all the support and congratulated the England team on their maiden World Cup triumph.

However, disappointed with his defeat, Jimmy advised children to not take up sports. In one of his tweet, he wrote:

“Kids, don’t take up sport. Take up baking or something. Die at 60 really fat and happy.”

Check out his tweets:

That hurts. Hopefully there’s a day or two over the next decade where I don’t think about that last half hour. Congratulations @ECB_cricket , well deserved.

Thank you to all the supporters that came out today. We could hear you the whole way. Sorry we couldn’t deliver what you so badly wanted.

As soon as the tweet caught eyes, fans flooded it with love and appreciation from all over. People just can’t stop praising Nisham for his performance in the World Cup.

Popular Indian anchor and model, Shibani Dandekar also took to her twitter and wrote a heartwarming message for Jimmy Nisham. In her tweet, she praised his performance and told that both the teams were winners according to her. She wrote:

You delivered that and more!! Exhilarating display til the very end! Two incredible teams that showed up and served quality cricket til the end! Both winners in my opinion! Best final EVER! you should be so proud https://t.co/TbIN4BtObL
