England cricket team defeated Pakistani cricket team by an innings and 55 runs in the Headingley Test to level the series 1-1. The hosts were already under pressure as they lost the first Test by 9 wickets at Lord’s. They bounced back and won the much needed match.

The main limelight from the hosts sides were their bowlers who gave an exceptional performance. They didn’t let the batsmen of Pakistan cricket team score some free runs.

Before the match started, the toss was won by Pakistani cricket team and they opted to bat first. However, they had a worst start as Chris Woakes, James Anderson, and Stuart Broad bagged three wickets each in the innings.

Shadab Khan kept fighting and remained unbeaten at 56 runs. The visitors stretched the total scores to 174 runs in their first innings.

To make it more miserable for Pakistani cricket team, the England batsmen gave brilliant performance to take a handsome first innings lead.

Joss Buttler gave a thrilling performance and remained unbeaten at 80 runs. Alastair Cook, Joe Root, and Dominic Bess got into the forties to ensure that their team didn’t face any speed breakers in between.  England cricket team finished with 363 in their first innings.

Pakistan cricket team lost the match miserably to the England cricket team. Joss Buttler was titled Man of The Match.

Such a disappointment that there is no 3rd and deciding Test match in this series #EngvPak

— Saj Sadiq (@SajSadiqCricket) June 3, 2018

A good – and much needed – win for England here at Headingley but a poor showing from Pakistan. A drawn series, at home in May, is a disappointing result for Joe Root’s men and with India up next, there’s plenty of work to do. #ENGvPAK

Well played @root66 @englandcricket – much better performance. Great to see the young turks @CurranSM @DomBess99 coming in & playing well. They’re the future.

In England’s 999th Test match, Stuart Broad returned match figures of 6-66 and Dom Bess figures of 3-33

I didn’t think this Test Match would finish today, never mind being on my way home before tea. That was quite a walloping. #EngvPak
