HITMAN RETURNS TO FORM

The biggest plus to take from this victory was Rohit Sharma coming back to form. Rohit smashed a brilliant century to see India reach a decent total. After a string of low scores and having scored just 40 runs in the previous 4 games, Rohit Sharma must be a relieved man after scoring his 17th ODI hundred. Rohit Sharma was the man of the match for his great knock of 115.

Rohit was assisted by small cameos by Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer. Dhawan scored 34 while Kohli got run out for 36. After Hardik Pandya and Ajinkya Rahane failed in the middle order, Shreyas Iyer contributed with a cameo of 30.

KULDEEP SPINS IT INDIA’s WAY YET AGAIN

Once again it was the Chinaman who knitted death traps around the South African batsmen. Kuldeep Yadav picked up four wickets for 57 and once again he was the pick of the India bowlers. Chahal and Hardik Pandya picked 2 wickets each and as a result of a great team effort India won the 5th ODI and sealed the series. THIS IS A MOMENT OF HISTORY BEING REWRITTEN BY THE MEN IN BLUE.

TWITTER ERUPTS IN JOY

As team India scripted history by getting an ODI series win in South Africa after 25 years, Twitter is exploding in joy and is celebrating this great achievement by Virat Kohli and his men. Aren’t we just too proud of our team?
Here are the Twitter reactions:

Now that we know Rohit Sharma’s strike rate of match winning innings, we should select him after every 5 matches.

A few specialist catchers and this team will be unbeatable. #SAvIND

I’m really looking forward to the T20 series. Where the Proteas may actually face all their overs. #SAvIND

CSA to make pink dress mandatory as they can’t win in green jersey.#SAvIND

Blue hair color is working well for Hardik Pandya’s bowling. He has to now just sort out the hair color for his batting.

That victory in the last Test. Imagine what one win can do for the morale of the team. Well played India. #SAvsIND
