Suresh Raina makes much awaited comeback in the Indian Cricket Team as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announce the 16-man squad for the upcoming T20 International series in South Africa. The Indian team will play three T20 Innings against the South Africa after the 6-match ODI series.

In December, Suresh Raina had announced that he had cleared the “Yo-Yo” fitness test at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore, which is a basic parameter for selection. Suresh Raina worked really hard on his fitness and he managed to pass the test with par score. After the “yo-yo” test, Suresh Raina gave brilliant performance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

While leading his state, Uttar Pradesh in domestic T20 tournament, Suresh Raina scored a century and two fifties all in consecutive knocks. Suresh Raina was at his best with the bat and putted his 100% in the match. Raina looks fit and after his performance, it was enough for the selectors to bring him back in the squad.

Shreyas Iyer is the only change in the 16-man squad. Shreyas has played against Sri Lanks in the previous series. In the absence of Virat Kohli, Shreyas took the no.3 spot and he scored 24,0 and 30 in the three matches. Although in the recent SMA trophy, Shreyas batted twice and scored 79 in the last outing.

However, Shreyas Iyer in his short career span has looked really uncomfortable playing the moving ball along with being a predominantly on-side player.

Among others, MS Dhoni, Axar Patel,  Kuldeep Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat,Yuzvendra Chahal, Manish PAndey and Shardul Thakur will also join the rest of the Indian team that is already in South Africa for the Test series.
