The International Cricket Council has announced the venue for the 2018 Women’s T20 World Cup. The T20 World Cup would be hosted by Antigua and Barbuda, Guyana and St Lucia from November 9-24. November would be about some enthralling cricketing action as women from around the world will contest for the Women’s T20 World Cup, 2018.

West Indies are the defending champions as they won the title in 2016 in Kolkata having defeated Australia. The skipper of the Windies, Stafanie Taylor was named as the captain of the ICC Women’s T20I Team in the ICC Awards, 2017. She would lead the defending champions in front of a warm home crowd.

The three venues which have been selected for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup have been selected by a bidding process conducted by Cricket West Indies and they were later ratified by the International Cricket Council.

The defending champions will be joined at their home by the teams from India, Pakistan, South Africa, England, Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka. A total of 10 teams will be contesting for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, 2018 to be hosted by West Indies.

Two Spots Will Be Filled From Qualifiers

Two more spots would be claimed by nations among Bangladesh, Holland, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Scotland, Ireland and Papua New Guinea. All of these nations would compete for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup qualifiers between July 3 and July 14. The qualifiers between these nations will be hosted By Netherlands.
