India has lost both, The Centurion Test as well as the 3 match test series with South Africa as now even if they win the third test it will be in vain. Once again India’s batting has let down the chances of the team to register a win in The Centurion test and come at par with the Proteas in the series.
From opening woes to the middle order menace, India once again repeated the misery shown in the first test at Cape Town.

Here are the player ratings from The Centurion Test for Indian Players
1.KL Rahul 1/10

Brought in to replace Shikhar Dhawan who performed poorly in the first test, KL Rahul turned out to be an even bigger disappointment. KL Rahul has only scored 14 runs in two innings and he is one serious culprit of India’s loss.
2. Murali Vijay 4/10
Looked good for his 46 in the first innings but in the second innings when India needed him to be there, he made his way back to the pavilion for just 9 runs. Vijay has surely not been on his best so far on this tour.
3. Virat Kohli 7/10

The lone warrior in the first innings who hit a magnificent century could not do much in the second innings. A very important knock of 153 from the captain gave India some hope but in the second innings, he perished for just 5. But he did as much as he could and you cannot really blame him.
4. Cheteshwar Pujara 1/10
Cricketaddictor.com
A suicidal run out of the first ball in the second innings and then in the second innings too he got run out at 19. He was the one who should have really been up to the task after’s Kohli’s dismissal in the second innings but his poor run in the series continues.
Pujara has let the team down and also India’s chances in both the innings.
5. Parthiv Patel 2/10
A lot of blunders with the gloves and no contributions with the bat. Parthiv scored 19 runs each in both the innings and the team really needed more than that. He dropped Amla in the first innings and then Du Plessis while in the second innings he dropped Dean Elgar. As Sunil Gavaskar said, Saha’s absence cost India.
6. Rohit Sharma 2/10
He again got a game ahead of Ajinkya Rahane but could not make it count. His poor run of form also continues as he scored just 10 in the first innings.
7. Hardik Pandya 2/10

A stupidly lazy run out in the first innings and getting out for just 6 runs in the second innings, his services with the bat were clearly miserable. He has also gone wicketless in the entire match and was a poor performer overall in this test.
His lazy mistake in the first innings when he got out for 15 was just so unforgivable.
8. Ravichandran Ashwin 3/10

He was the pick of the bowlers for India in the first innings as he picked up 4. He also played a little cameo of 38 in the first innings with the bat. In the second innings, however, he could only manage one wicket. With the bat, he could not do much in the second innings and perished for just 3.
9. Ishant Sharma 5/10
3 wickets in the first innings and 2 in the second innings. He has had a decent outing and the blame is not really on the bowlers but the batsmen.
10. Mohammad Shami 4/10

He was the pick of Indian bowlers in the second innings as he scalped 4 wickets. In the first innings, however, he could only manage 1 wicket but still, overall he has performed well.
11. Jasprit Bumrah 4/10
Went wicketless in the first innings but came back strongly to pick 3 in the second innings. Bumrah has had a decent outing too and gave South Africa early jitters in the second innings.
