An ODI century is always special for a batsman but a tally of 100 wickets in One Day Internationals is equally delightful for a bowler. Mitchell Starc has gone past all veterans in cricket to claim to the top spot on the list of fastest bowlers to reach a century of wickets in One Day Internationals.
Starc, the Aussie pace gun has scalped 100 ODI wickets in just 52 matches. The Australian bowler got the better of 18 year old record of Saqlain Mushtaq who got to 100 ODI wickets in 53 games.
Just One Indian in the list
Irfan Pathan is the only Indian bowler to feature on the list of 10 fastest bowlers to reach 100 ODI wickets. Pathan who emerged as a sensational star of Indian bowling got to 100 One Day Wickets in just 59 games while Starc got to 100 wickets in 52 games.
Morne Morkel, Trent Boult and Imran Tahir are the present day bowlers who feature on the top 10 list. Trent Boult is 5th on the list having reached 100 wickets from in 56 games followed by Imran Tahir. Imran Tahir reached his century of ODI wickets in 59 games.
