India has announced its squad for the tough ODI series beginning in South Africa soon. Kohli who has enjoyed enough rest and has had a leisurely time since his wedding, is now all set to return as the Captain in the limited overs fixtures. India has announced a 17 membered squad for the 6 Match ODI series against South Africa.

Shami and Shardul recalled

Seamers Mohammad Shammi and Shardul Thakur have been recalled for the limited overs format. Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin have yet been ignored as the selection committee once again invested faith in Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal and Axar Patel for their prolific performances in the recent games.

KL Rahul too has been ignored despite his scintillating performances in the recent T20 fixtures against Sri Lanka.

Keshar Jadhav who was ruled out from the ODI series against Sri Lanka has been recalled too. Ajinkya Rahane, Dinesh Karthik too have retained their places in the squad and Shreyas Iyer with his recent performances has got the ticket to South Africa.

2017 has been a great year for the Indian team but 2018 starts with the typical tour of South Africa. This is going to be a test of character for Kohli and his men.
