The record for maximum catches in ODIs is held by former Sri Lankan Skipper, Mahela Jayawardene. Mahela Jayawardene has 218 catches from 448 matches. Second on the list is Ricky Ponting with 160 catches from 375 matches.
On the list of most catches by fielders in ODI cricket, there are two Indians. Azharuddin and Sachin Tendulkar are the two Indian fielders in Top 10. Azharuddin is third in the list while Little Master is at the fourth spot.
Azharuddin has 156 catches in his ODI career and Sachin Tendulkar has 140 catches from 463 One Day Internationals. Younis Khan and Boom Boom Afridi are the two Pakistanis in the list.
