Cricket is a game of miracles where almost anything can happen. Rohit Sharma’s innings of 264 is one of such incidents which speaks for how amusing the game of cricket can be but if you ever thought that Rohit’s record was formidable then check this out!

Would you believe if I tell you that Rohit Sharma’s 50 overs record for most run is in jeopardy? What if I tell you that a 20 year old lad from South Africa hit 490 runs in a 50 over game? Wait, what? 490 runs in a 50 overs game? Well, yes that’s exactly how an aspiring cricketer from South Africa celebrated his 20th Birthday.

Shane Dadswell is stealing all the limelight and is winning over the Internet as he played a miraculous innings of 490 from just 151 balls. Shane has taken everyone by surprise and as much as people might not want to believe it but this really happened. Shane achieved this amazing feat in a club game between NWU Pukke and Potch Dorp and has given Rohit Sharma another benchmark.

Who hits 490 from 151 balls? Isn’t this more like playing EA cricket on the laptop with the cheat codes on? This is just amazing coming from the very young and now very popular Shane Dadswell. His innings which has created a unique history was endowed with 57 sixes and 27 fours! Each moment of his innings was stupendously breathtaking and I’m sure AB De Villiers would be amply proud of this budding junior.

It’s still hard to believe that someone could actually do it but kudos to Shane Dadswell who has created history. If this was to be a record in international cricket I don’t think anyone would have ever got past it!

Insane batting in a 50-over club match in Potch. Is this ground the size of a postage stamp? And if CricInfo is to be believed, today is Dadswell’s 20th birthday. pic.twitter.com/XwA2QzXkbK

The lad sadly missed out on the milestone of 500 by a whisker but never mind, what he has achieved already is nothing less than an infinitesimal space of fame. Let’s see how this young talent turns out to be in future and if one day he takes the ABD legacy forward.

A 20 year old South African batsman Shane Dadswell made a record 490 in 151 balls, with 27 fours and 57 sixes! in a 50 over club game.
His side finally made 677/3 in 50 overs! https://t.co/ki1CU08SNK
