Jasprit Bumrah is one of the best fast bowlers in world cricket. In the last couple of years, Bumrah has established a place for himself in India’s limited-overs team.
Bumrah came to limelight after his good performances for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Soon, he started playing Ranji and in a short period of time, he was playing for India.
Bumrah has a very unorthodox action and he uses it to perfection. Bumrah has the ability to swing the ball both ways, but his biggest strength is bowling yorkers. And, this is why he is, arguably, the best death bowler in the world in limited overs cricket.
In the second match of the ongoing 5-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, Bumrah bowled brilliantly and picked 4 wickets for 43 runs in 10 overs. He bowled brilliantly throughout the innings but there was one delivery that was the highlight of his spell.
Bumrah came charging in over the wicket and bowled an unplayable in-swinging yorker to dismiss Sri Lanka’s CK Kapugedera. The ball swung a long way and pitched perfectly between Kapugedera’s legs and wickets. It was a great spectacle for the fast bowler as the stumps went flying away. Watch it here:
