Virat Kohli is one of the best batsmen in world cricket, across all three formats of the game. In recent time, Kohli has worked extremely hard on his game and this has led to a notable improvement in his batting.

Virat Kohli is old school when it comes to practicing. He believes in sweating it out in the nets to overcome his technical flaws without looking too much into data and figures. He keeps things very simple and focuses only on his batting while preparing for a game.

After winning the semi-final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 against Bangladesh, in which he batted brilliantly alongside Rohit Sharma, Kohli attributed his success to two people- Sanjay Bangar and Raghu. Sanjay Bangar is the batting coach of Indian cricket team And Raghu happens to be the one who throws balls to the batsmen in the nets.

Raghu’s real name is Raghavendra. He has bowled to the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid.

While addressing the media after the semi-final against Bangladesh, Kohli said that Raghu has made him very strong by practising on the speed of 140 kms/h.

“The success of a batsman does not get much significance for those who work for him behind the scenes. But I believe that specially Raghu has made me very strong by practicing on the speed of 140 km,” said Kohli while speaking to reporters.

We respect Virat Kohli for crediting Raghu, who otherwise wouldn’t get noticed but media or anyone. Kohli is a world class batsman and endorsement from him, would do Raghu’s confidence a world of good.
