VIDEO: Bangladesh’s Soumya Sarkar becomes the first batsman to review after being bowled

Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka 2017: Bangladesh’s batsman Soumya Sarkar made the most shocking Decision Review System (DRS) call in the first Test of the ongoing series against Sri Lanka.Sarkar was clean bowled by Sri Lanka’s Guneratne but he asked for the review thinking he has been given out caught behind. The ball pitched on middle and off, spun and clipped the top of off stump. Sarkar thought he’s been given caught behind and before even looking back at the stumps, he asked for a review.

The replay clearly showed that he was clean bowled and it became very embarrassing for him in the middle.

Before this incident Soumya Sarkar batted well and scored 55 runs for Bangladesh. It happens many times that batsmen review plumb lbws and caught behinds, but this is the first any batsman has taken a DRS after being clean bowled. Watch it here:
