There was a controversial moment in the ongoing second Test match between India and Australia when Virat Kohli was dismissed leg before wicket by Josh Hazelwood. Hazelwood bowled an in swinger which kept a little low and hit Kohli on his pad. A strong appeal was made and the on-field umpire gave him out. Immediately, Virat Kohli reviewed the decision as his bat very close to the pad and he felt that the ball hit his bat first.
The decision reviewed and the third umpire took a lot of time but looking at from different angles. Ultimately, he agreed with the on-field call and gave it not-out because he couldnt any conclusive evidence to over turn the decision. All the commentators also agreed with this call and gave the same reason that- there was no conclusive evidence to overturn the on-field decision.
But, Virat Kohli wasn’t happy with the decision and he was seen saying something in anger while going back to the pavilion. However, in Virat’s defence, it must be said that his bat was very close to pads and had the on-field umpire given it not-out it would have remained that way even after the referral. Watch it here:
