India vs Australia 2017: Steve Smith won the toss and elected to bat first in the first Test of the ongoing 4-match series between India and Australia. It was an important Test to win as the pitch in Pune for the first Test looked very dry even before the start of the play.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Australian openers David Warner and Matt Renshaw batted brilliantly and added 80* runs for the first wicket at the time of writing this article.  Both, Warner and Renshaw, showed sold technique to counter India’s spin bowlers and scored runs at a good run rate in the first 90 minutes of Day 1.
