In the first innings of the ongoing Test match between India and Bangladesh, India’s skipper Virat Kohli scored his 4th double hundred in Test cricket and once again proved to the world why he is called number 1 batsman in the world, in all three formats of the game. With this double hundred, Virat Kohli has achieved a unique feat of scoring 4 double hundreds in 4 consecutive series. It started against West Indies in Caribbean and then continued against New Zealand, England and now Bangladesh. Kohli now also holds the record of scoring most runs in a season by an Indian batsman.
Virat is technically very sound and when in flow, he makes batting look easy. On a good batting wicket in Hyderabad, Kohli played some brilliant shots and made Bangladesh’s bowling attack look ordinary. He played strokes all around the park but there was one straight drive which he played against Taskin Ahmed that made us all stand up and applaud the champion.
Bangladesh’s fast bowler Taskin Ahmed bowled a full delivery and Kohli smashed it straight down the ground in a style which made him look like his idol Sachin Tendulkar for a moment. Kohli presented the full face of the bat and his balance while playing the drive was just perfect. Watch it here:
