Jasprit Bumrah is a very exciting fast bowler and he has impressed one and all with his skills in limited-overs cricket, already in his short career. Bumrah made his debut for India in 2016 against Australia and since then he has been a very important member of India’s limited-overs squad. His unorthodox action coupled with good accuracy has made him an asset for India in the shorter formats of the game.

Fact #1. Jasprit Bumrah lost his father when he was 7 years old.

Fact #2. Jasprit Bumrah started his cricketing journey at the age of 14 years.

Fact #3. Jasprit Bumrah first came into limelight when he took his 7 wickets against Vidharba in the 2013-14 season of Ranji Trophy.

Fact #4.  John Wright, Mumbai Indians’ coach, was the first one to identify Jasprit Bumrah’s talent. He later picked him in Mumbai Indians’ squad.

Fact #5. While playing for Mumbai Indians, Sri Lanka’s fast bowler Lasith Malinga helped Bumrah in getting his yorkers right. Bumrah himself credits Malinga for this.
