On day 1 of the second Test between Australia and South Africa, Australia were bowled out for merely 85 against the Proteas, which is their lowest ever home total against South Africa. This was possible because of brilliant bowling and fielding effort by South Africa.
South African bowler, led by Vernon Philander, bowled brilliant on a green pitch and troubled Australian batsmen with consistent lines and accurate swing bowling. Proteas’ bowlers were well supported by their fielders. Many good catches were taken during Australia’s innings, but the one by JP Duminy off Kyle Abbott’s bowling to dismiss Mitchell Starc was the best. Abbott bowled a brilliant out-swinger that took Starc’s edge and flew towards Duminy, who reacted very quickly and dived full length to take a stunning catch. Watch it here:
