Australian cricket team is known for their good fielding. But before the start of the ongoing series against South Africa, Australian captain Steve Smith said that Australia haven’t fielding well in the last couple of series and they need to lift the fielding standards.
The troop responded brilliantly on day 1 of the first Test. There were a couple of great catches as Australia dismissed South Africa for 242.
The first catch of the day by Mitchell Marsh was an absolute screamer. Mitchell Starc pitched the ball on the back of a length on off stump, and the ball swung away and took the outside edge of South Africa’s opener Stephen Cook’s bat and flew to Mitchell Marsh at gully, who dived full length to his left and pulled off an absolute ripper.
