Waqar Younis picks his ‘modern day ODI XI’

Former Pakistan captain and one of the best fast bowlers in cricket history, Waqar Younis, picked his ‘modern day ODI world XI’. Waqar Younis named 11  players from the modern generation who will constitute his modern day One Day International World XI, with an additional 12th man spot awarded as well.

Waqar picked Australia’s David Warner and India’s Rohit Sharma as his openers. To bat at no. 3, 4, and 5, Waqar Younis picked Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Steve Smith.

In an intersting selection move, Waqar picked England’s Jos Buttler over India’s limited-overs captain as his wicket-keeper and no. 6 batsman. Waqar picked two more Englishmen in his team- Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali.

In his pace-bowling unit, Waqar Younis picked Mitchell Starc, Mohammad Amir and Mustafizur Rahman.
