Tillakaratne Dilshan announces retirement from all forms of international cricket

Sri Lanka’s swashbuckling batsman, Tilakaratne Dilshan, has announced announced his retirement from international cricket. Dilshan said that will be retiring from international cricket after the end of ongoing series against Australia. Dilshan retired from Test cricket in October 2013 and after the ongoing series, he will retiring from all forms of international cricket.

Dilshan will play his last international match on September 9 after playing the second T20I against Australia at Colombo. Dilshan made his international debut in a Test match against Zimbabwe on November 18, 1999 and ODI debut against the same team on December 11, 1999.

Dilshan has been a brilliant cricketer for Sri Lanka and his contribution will always be remembered by Sri Lankan cricket fans. Dilshan is the fourth Sri Lankan to have amassed more than 10,000 runs in ODIs.
