Ravindra Jadeja’s batting has always been under scrutiny of the selectors and fans. Over the years, Jadeja has won many matches for India with the ball but his batting has always let him down. Jadeja bats at no. 7 in limited-overs cricket and his role in the batting line-up is mainly of a finisher.

It would be fair to say that Jadeja has improved his hitting game in the last couple of years, but he still hasn’t achieved what he can. The video shared below is arguably the best knock that Ravindra Jadeja has played in his international career so far.

MS Dhoni appreciated Jadeja’s knock and said Jadeja will get better from here.

“He has been very consistent in bowling and hopefully will contribute more in terms of batting. The kind of talent he has we have seen in the domestic circuit, loads of big hundreds. Just that he will have to get his thinking right. And this innings will help him.”

Ravindra Jadeja’s unbeaten knock of 66 runs tied the Auckland ODI against New Zealand and just like captain MS Dhoni, many thought that this innings would transform Jadeja from a careless hitter to a mature finisher. But, unfortunately for Jadeja and Indian cricket fans, Jadeja couldn’t produce such performances consistently and now he has been dropped from the side
