Famous Indian cricket fan Sudhir Gautam was at the receiving end after India lost the ODI series here in Bangladesh as a mob of unruly local fans bullied him. A couple of policemen came to his rescue, only to see some of those fans returning to chase the auto-rickshaw Sudhir hired to get to safety.
After the incident came to light, Mirpur Police assured Sudhir of his safety and provided him with cover for the rest of his stay.
