Video: Angelo Mathews saves a six with a spectacular effort

The current Sri Lankan captain Angelo Mathews made his debut in the 2009 T20 World Cup and made an immediate impact with a good all-round performance in the tournament. But, there is one thing that stands out for Angelo Mathews from his debut tournament- his spectacular effort to prevent a six at the boundary.

West Indies batsman Ramnaresh Sarwan hit the ball towards long on and it looked a certain six as Angelo Mathews was in position to catch or save that.

But Mathews redeemed himself, caught the ball and the moment he realised that he might step inside the boundary rope, he threw the ball in the air and crossed the rope. Realising that he was now inside the rope, he jumped again and pushed the ball inside the boundary rope by having both feet on air. And then he came back inside and threw the ball back to the bowler thus saving three crucial runs for his side.
