India’s swashbuckling batsman Virender Sehwag shared a very hilarious story on ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ from 2004 when Michael Clarke tried to sledge India’s batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar. Virender Sehwag, who was caught in a very candid mood by India’s ace captain Kapil, told how he defended his role model against Michael Clarke.

Michael Clarke tried to sledge Sachin Tendulkar by saying, “You are too old, forget it. You need to go.”

Virender Sehwag, who was watching all this from the other end, didn’t like it and he walked upto Michael Clarke and asked,” What’s your age?” Clarke animatedly replied saying, “23, mate!”

Sehwag then responded, “Do you know he [Tendulkar] has more hundreds in Tests and in ODIs than your age? Try someone your age, mate!”

This somehow didn’t stop Clarke from sledging the legend. He uttered saying, “Hey you, oldie! You #@$#@$ blah blah!”

Sehwag went for the final kill by asking him, “Your friends call you ‘pup’, right?” Clarke replied, “Yeah, mate.” Sehwag shut him up by asking, “Which breed?”
