In a shocking incident, Virat Kohli’s room was being entered into at his hotel and the nitty gritties of the entire structure was being displayed for the audience. Virat took to the internet and wrote, “I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favourite players and get excited to meet them and I’ve always appreciated that. But this video here is appalling and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy.”
Somehow, let’s get this straight, the first two lines written by Kohli is an act of being polite. First and foremost, why should a person even enter the room without someone’s permission? Violation of privacy sounds a much safer term, contrary to the kind of danger that act poses.
What if the person who entered the room had totally different intentions? What if the one inside the room had plans that could have been a significant blow to Kohli’s personal belongings? What if a life-threatening incident was evolved?
This shouldn’t happen to anyone. It is a basic violation of someone’s safety and who knows, at times could have been an infringement of someone’s modesty. This is unacceptable and the lessons while being a part of this entire system, especially the luxurious hotels, which is supposed to uphold one’s integrity, aren’t seemingly extensive enough.
Australian opener, David Warner have also chimed in with Kohli’s concern and has made it clear that this by no means should be acceptable. However, if there is something that needs to be addressed, it is this individual who have pulled off this stunt should be brought out in the public.
He should be called out so that the same doesn’t happen to any other human being. Imagine someone expecting to keep something precious as secret which can be life-saving for others, and this individual decides to go hyper-fanatic and express it to the world. Also, this is a fearful moment for any human being with someone lurking in their room.
This is the time when the hotel authorities need to act and do that swift enough to ensure that no other individuals are being subjected to such insanity. What is supposed to be a luxurious stay, let that be luxurious and joyful instead of a nightmare.
