Gautam Gambhir Drops Dinesh Karthik’s Name For His Predicted XI For India’s T20 World Cup Clash Against Pakistan

On October 23, India and Pakistan will play at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to kick off the T20 World Cup 2022. India will go into the major competition as the favorite thanks to its powerful and well-rounded team. India’s chances will be significantly enhanced by their prior series victories over South Africa and Australia, notwithstanding their recent loss to Western Australia in a practice match.

It would be intriguing to watch the starting eleven for India against Pakistan given that top pacer Jasprit Burmah and spin all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will be absent from the competition due to injuries.

Indian management fielded their strongest possible eleven against Australia in the most recent exhibition game, and they managed to win by just six runs while holding them to a 187-run total.

India’s top order, which has been in terrific form, is not difficult to forecast, and the management is unlikely to change it.

In a show on ZEE News, the former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir made a similar top-order prediction, saying that KL Rahul and skipper Rohit Sharma would open the innings, followed by superstar batters Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav.

However, Gambhir has made a bold prediction in his anticipated eleven for the first game by choosing the youthful wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant ahead of the current first-choice keeper Dinesh Karthik.

Karthik has firmly established himself in India’s most recent T20I (Twenty20 International) lineup, taking the position of Pant, who has battled with consistency despite receiving frequent opportunities. Karthik’s finishing role, according to Gambhir, limits his opportunities, whereas Pant, who is a floater, can be elevated up the order if India loses early wickets.

Either Arshdeep or Bhuvi’s statement by Gautam Gambhir

Many were taken aback by Gambhir’s audacious proposals for India’s bowling team. Axar Patel will undoubtedly start every game as India’s top spinner, but for the match against Pakistan, he has chosen Yuzvendra Chahal over veteran Ravichandran Ashwin. Despite his recent wicket-taking troubles, Chahal is still India’s primary spin option and is expected to be chosen over Ashwin. With his pace attack, Gambhir has been really taken aback by Mohammad Shami’s last over against Australia. He claimed that Harshal Patel and Shami should play together in the opening game because Shami may be highly efficient with a fresh ball. However, he recommended that India start either Bhuvneshwar Kumar or Arshdeep Singh against Pakistan.
