The second of the back-to-back T20 World Cup will commence with the qualifying round on October 16 in Australia. The Super 12 will kick-off on October 22. Defending champions Australia won the tournament less than 12 months ago in the UAE, and will have a chance to become the first team to successfully defend their T20 title.

Tim David
It is scary to think that Australia have strengthened their batting by adding Tim David to their already strong batting line-up that won the T20 WC last year, chasing big totals against Pakistan in the semi-final and New Zealand in the final.

Not many players have ever made a comeback in the national side at the age of 37. But Dinesh Karthik forced his way into the Indian team following a scintillating IPL season for RCB, wherein he smashed 330 runs at a strike rate of 183.
Dinesh Karthik, who is perhaps India’s best death overs pace-hitter at the moment, has won two Player of the Match awards on his return to the side in recent months. Further, DK plundered runs at a strike rate of 220 in the death overs in the IPL 2022.
Liam Livingstone
England star Liam Livingstone has taken on the world by storm since last year’s home summer where he recorded England’s fastest T20I century off 42 balls.

David Miller
David Miller has been in superb form and has regained the seemingly lost touch since last year: from 2021, Miller averages 44 with strike rate of 152 in 26 T20Is for South Africa, all of them away from home.
David Miller had perhaps his best IPL season this year, scoring 481 runs, helping Gujarat Titans win the title. With a vast experience of 400 T20 matches, David Miller is going to be a force to reckon with at this year’s T20 WC.
Glenn Maxwell
366 T20 matches, average of 28, strike rate of 151 – Glenn Maxwell’s numbers, his reputation for itself. The fact that IPL franchises have always spent big bucks on him despite him underperforming in the previous edition before that auction speaks of the faculties of the Victorian.
Captain of the Melbourne Stars, Glenn Maxwell is amongst the finest T20 players in the world. He’s played 130 of his all T20 matches in Australia where he strikes at 150 in these games. In death overs this year, the right-hander has clattered runs at strike rate of 233!
