Virat Kohli, the Indian cricketer has been a fan favorite for years now. He is one of the greatest of the modern-day cricket and has had a memorable journey in international cricket that is inspiring to the core. The achievements of Virat Kohli have been so impressive that time and again he has been compared with the ‘God of Cricket’, Sachin Tendulkar.

But, going with the consistency of Virat Kohli, many cricket pundits and analysts believe that he will soon surpass all the records of Sachin Tendulkar. However, he has already gained the legendary status in the game of cricket.

He has given us many memorable moments on-field while playing for the Indian cricket team. And just like all the cricket fans, Virat Kohli too had a memorable incident, which he believes is the closest to his heart.

Recently, in an interview, Virat Kohli was asked about his most memorable cricket moment. To which Virat Kohli revealed that his most memorable moment as a cricketer was so far has been the news of his selection in the senior national team for the first time. He said:

“For me, the moment that will always be very dear to me or special is the day that I got selected in the Indian team. I was at home with my mother, watching news, I was getting no information from anywhere and as my name flashed I had no idea what to do.”

He added:

“I went berserk, there was no synchronization. I didn’t know whether to sit, stand, run or jump…I think that is one moment that I would multiply eight times any day and replay it,”

Virat Kohli has come a long way, ever since he debuted. So far Virat has amassed 7202 runs in 84 test matches at an average of 54.97. In ODIs, Virat has scored a total of 11625 runs at an average of 59.61, playing a total of 243 matches. And in T20Is, Virat has played 78 matches and has scored 2689 runs with an average of 52.72.
